At Flowrite Drainage, we utilise the latest technology and our finely-tuned expertise in order to provide you with effective, efficient and low-cost solutions to problems with your drainage systems. Today, we will take a look at one of the innovative pieces of technology we offer, and how it can save you time and money; our CCTV surveys.
What is a CCTV Survey?
In any drainage system, from time to time you will come into contact with problems. These range from minor, such as blockages in the pipes, to more severe, where the pipe work or other part of the system may have become broken or compromised. The CCTV Survey is an excellent way to carry out a drainage inspection, without needing to worry about costly and extreme building works when trying to diagnose the problem. With a CCTV sewer inspection, you can quickly diagnose the problem without needing to dig deep into the ground and make physical contact with the drainage system.
How does it work?
Your building will have access holes that were put in place when it was erected. This allows our repair and maintenance team to come on site and make a full inspection with the CCTV drain line camera; the camera is lowered through the access hole and into the drainage system below. A live-streamed video recording is then available for the operator to watch, with lights fitted to the camera allowing them to see into the darkest and deepest of pipe tunnels.
Once the camera has reached the problem area, the operator will be able to diagnose the issue for you. This can then be communicated to an engineer, who can come on-site with the proper tools and equipment to resolve it for you.
What are the benefits of CCTV Surveys for Drainage?
There are a variety of different benefits in utilising our CCTV drain camera service. For one, the ability for a mechanic to make a diagnosis simply by looking at the problem through a video recording means there is no need to excavate your property or dedicate high financial cost. Removing the need to dig until you find the source of the issue can save you money in the long term.
The CCTV drain survey is also a far more efficient method of finding the source of the problem. Using a camera to make a CCTV inspection will save you the time-consuming process of hiring a team of builders or mechanics to come and dig around the site. This ensures your day to day activities can be resumed as quickly as possible, by cutting delays in resolving the issues you face with your drainage system.
